Brief Description of Tech Tool: Khan Academy provides students, parents and teachers a comprehensive library featuring videos, interactive challenges and assessments. These adaptive assessments allow students to practice at their own pace by adjusting to their unique needs. It also breaks down problems step-by-step if students need assistance. It also allows teachers to track student’s progress and collect classroom data. Students can earn learning badges and points, to help increase their motivation. It breaks content down similar to the Common Core State Standards so you can find assessments and videos that match your learning target. This tech tool could be used to review concepts, practice or assess student learning. It would also be a great resource for students to use at home.

 

Technical & Cost considerations: This site is completely free to use and has no technical constraints. However, you must register to track student’s progress. It works from any computer that has access to the Internet.
