Description: LearnZillion is a growing library of video lessons developed by teachers that directly link to the Common Core State Standards (2nd - 12th grade). Each video explicitly teaches the learning objective using a lot of visuals. The videos are simple to understand and can be used as a resource for teachers, students and their parents. LearnZillion also offers a variety of math lesson plans that teachers can use based on the CCSS.

 

Uses: There are many ways to use LearnZillion to benefit your students’ mathematical knowledge. You can create a classroom account and create playlists for different instructional content. This allows you to assign learning objectives (CCSS) to students as they progress in the curriculum. You can assign videos for students to use for review and remediation, or assign videos for enrichment to challenge students who need extension. One of the most effective ways I have used it in my classroom is sharing this site with parents so they can use it as review when helping their student with homework.
